The Data tab in Page is where all captured meeting summaries are stored, providing a structured way to browse government discussions. This tab allows you to filter and explore meetings, committee sessions, and politician records all in one place.
Navigating the Data Tab
Selecting a Government
At the top of the Data tab, you’ll find a drop-down menu that lets you filter by government. This allows you to focus on meetings related to a specific jurisdiction, such as Federal, Ontario, or other provincial governments.
Viewing Recent Meetings
By default, the Data tab displays the most recent meetings captured by Page. These include discussions from various government bodies, helping you stay up to date with the latest legislative activity.
Exploring Government Meetings
At the top of the page, you’ll find different sections to help you refine your search:
Chamber Sessions & Question Period
This section contains records of official chamber sessions where government representatives debate policies and decisions.
Question Period sessions are highlighted separately, allowing you to review direct exchanges between elected officials.
Committee Meetings
This section provides an overview of government committees, including a list of committee members and recent meetings.
• If a meeting was held in-camera (private session), an icon will indicate this.
• Clicking on a committee name gives you a quick summary of its members and past discussions.
Board of Internal Economy
• This section contains details about the Board of Internal Economy, a key administrative body that manages parliamentary operations.
Finding Politician Information
The Politicians tab serves as a directory of all current sitting politicians. Here, you can:
• Search for specific politicians by name.
• View their riding, roles, and committee memberships.
• Access a list of meetings where they have spoken, allowing you to track their contributions in government discussions.
